Lakeview Golf Escape

Our client’s home is in scenic cottage country and this gorgeous guest cabin is set slightly back from the waterfront. Our first challenge was the golf simulator room having a unique roof design which the simulator frame needed to fit into. We also custom inset the turf directly into a beautiful hardwood floor that surrounds on three sides and ensured the width of the turf area was narrower than the screen – creating an immersive experience.

A Scenic Drive

This home golf simulator installation was designed seamlessly as a permanent part of the home’s entertaining area. Situated directly across from their exquisite kitchen/dining area, it was important to create a space open enough to allow guests to come and go, while ensuring critical elements like outside light weren’t a negative factor for visibility on the screen.

Shed Getaway

Garages and outbuildings are popular locations for home golf simulators, but they can pose many challenges which aren’t immediately apparent. In this case, the client removed an older structure and rebuilt it with the sole purpose of installing a golf simulator – which gave us a beautiful blank canvas for this custom golf simulator shed design.

"I really enjoyed working with the team at InHome Golf. The fact that they weren’t pushy and just excited about the project made me excited about it as well. I couldn’t be happier with my Uneekor and how it’s performing. The TGC software added another layer of awesome to the whole experience, making it all worthwhile. Thanks guys!"

"It was a pleasure working with James on the planning and building of our home golf simulator. We looked at the different product options together and he made everything work really well in a relatively tight basement. As a final touch, we printed images of the 18th at Augusta onto the inside panels of our golf bay, which turned out great. Thanks to James and his team, we’re now able to enjoy the game we love year ‘round!"

Greg MacPherson

"James was amazing to work with. He knew I had a budget in mind for the project, walked me through multiple options, and always took the time to ensure I understood the pros and cons of each. When it came to the installation, his team were pros. The golf simulator fit into the room like a glove, and it was a quick turnaround. If you want to take your dream and make it a reality, this is your team."

"InHome Golf’s level of service is a cut above the rest. Not only did they design & install my home golf simulator ahead of schedule (and on budget!), the quality of the simulator itself is also unreal. The accuracy, image quality and experience far exceed anything else I’ve seen on the market. I highly recommend this team if you’re looking to add a simulator to your home.”"

"James is the most knowledgeable guy I’ve met when it comes to golf simulators. When I began planning the construction of my new home, giving him a call to design and install my dream simulator was a no brainer. He worked hands on with me and my builders to ensure a seamless installation that met (exceeded) all of my expectations. If you are thinking of or wanting to build a simulator, there is no one else better suited to help you."

Hanover Dental

"I met James at the Toronto Golf Show and was immediately impressed. His knowledge and solution-based thinking stood out as real differentiators. James visited my garage to assess the space (which I was told by his competitors would NOT work) and came back to me with multiple options, ranging in systems and price points, which was fantastic. He handled the install himself and had me up and running in no time. Thank you James & IHG!"

Frequently Asked Questions

What size room do you need for a golf simulator?

Room size is the number one question we get asked about golf simulators, and our answer is dependent on a few factors. If the intent is to just install a functional golf simulator, then a room size of 10 ft. tall, 15 ft. wide and 20 ft. deep would suit your needs. In instances where you want to create a holistic experience for friends and family, then 25 ft. long is ideal. If your room doesn’t quite meet the minimum requirements listed above, don’t panic – Give us a call at 1-800-557-5859 or email at info@inhomegolf.com, and we’ll happily take the time to better understand your unique needs before walking you through the options that are right for you, your space and your vision.

How high of a ceiling do I need for a golf simulator?

Generally speaking, 9 ft. ceilings are the minimum requirement for a golf simulator, with 10 ft. being considered a more “comfortable’ height. As is the case with any significant home or business investment, consulting with an golf simulator installation professional prior to purchasing your golf simulator is highly recommended. Give us a call at 1-800-557-5859 or email at info@inhomegolf.com, and we’ll happily take the time to better understand your unique needs before walking you through the options that are right for you, your space and your vision.

Where do I mount the projector for my golf simulator?

When it comes to mounting, there is, regrettably no rule of thumb or silver bullet answer for where to mount it. Every projector has a unique throw distance (the distance from the tip of the projector’s lens to the screen) which is affected by your impact screen’s size and aspect ratio. Given how critical this is to setup accurately, we recommend consulting with an golf simulator installation professional before purchasing. Give us a call at 1-800-557-5859 or email at info@inhomegolf.com, and we’ll happily take the time to better understand your unique needs before walking you through the options that are right for you, your space and your vision.

How far away from the screen should the strikemat be for a golf simulator?

In an ideal world, we like to put the ball 12 feet from the screen. That said, we can work in tigher spaces, and can still design a great simulator, for example with a 10 ft. distance from ball to screen. Give us a call at 1-800-557-5859 or email at info@inhomegolf.com, and we’ll happily take the time to better understand your unique needs before walking you through the options that are right for you, your space and your vision.

Can you use any projector for a golf simulator?

No, unfortunately you can not use any projector to for a golf simulator. Office quality projectors or large venue projectors, for example, typically don’t have the appropriate throw distance (the distance from the tip of the projector’s lens to the screen). Additionally, the brighter your room is the more important the measured lumens (brightness) of your proejector matters as well, so be sure to consult an expert in golf simulators before purchasing so that you’re not disapointed in the quality of the results. Give us a call at 1-800-557-5859 or email at info@inhomegolf.com, and we’ll happily take the time to better understand your unique needs before walking you through the options that are right for you, your space and your vision.
